About the event

The event will bring together academia from multiple Welsh universities, public sector bodies from Wales & Malta and industry representatives with a special focus on life sciences, IoT and energy sectors.

Please note: This event is invite only.

This whole-day event will be led by Eng Joseph Sammut, Chair Emeritus of Malta Life Sciences Park and attended by Hon Jo Etienne Abela, Minister for Health and Active Aging.

The event will focus on how to systemize change in healthcare, covering infrastructure changes and upskilling requirements including a discussion on the procurement model for the Maltese healthcare system that considers the best of the Welsh Health system.

The conference will be exploring opportunities for knowledge & data sharing, clinical trials and innovation practices, modelled on the Living Lab at AWEN Institute and the Active Buildings at SPECIFIC in Swansea University. A similar structure will be implemented in Malta as Phase 2 of the Malta Life Sciences Park development.
